Releasing and relaxing backs, hips and shoulders! Sitting down for long periods of time and sitting in a non-optimal position, as a lot of you will be doing by working from home, can really affect back, shoulder and hip flexor health and flexibility. Incorporating Pilates into your life will help alleviate the aches and stiffness you can get from this more sedentary lifestyle. In this session we’ll work on your: BACK – your back has a lot to do to keep you upright, so we’ll be working on strengthening and mobilising to prevent pain and injury SHOULDERS – many people have a forward leaning position from being on computer/phone screens, so we’ll work on opening the chest and improving your posture HIP FLEXORS – so many people come to me with tightness from sitting too much (or equally from doing repetitive sport like running/cycling), so we’ll look at lengthening and relieving that stiffness Ultimately this workshop is all about giving your body some love and letting it move in a more fluid way, to help prevent you ending up stooped over and groaning every time you get out of your chair!
Please give as much notice as possible if you're unable to attend a session/class. I don't want to see you out of pocket if I can help it, but equally it's my business so it's not fair I lose out either. Thank you for your understanding Classes - as these are done on a course basis if you are unable to attend I'm afraid you do forfeit that session. You may however be able to do an alternative class if there's space so please check with me. Personal training - Less than 24hrs notice and you will forfeit your session and be charged accordingly.
